Cambridge Guardians offer a tailored guardianship service for international students and their families. Founded in 1995, we’ve been supporting students at independent day and boarding schools for nearly 30 years.
We know the challenges of studying abroad and the worries that come with it for both students and parents across time zones. Our top priority is making sure each student is safe, supported, and thriving.
Our packages:
Suitable for families who are able to manage day to day contact with school
This basic option is perfect for families with older children who prefer their child to travel home for exeat weekends and half terms and do not require our transportation services. It also suits parents who already have a trusted family member or friend in the UK to host their child during holidays, and parents who can get to the UK within a few hours. This package is suitable for school and university students requiring an emergency guardianship service.
This option suits families who can manage day to day contact with school but would like their children to experience a homestay during holidays
Suitable for families of children requiring a comprehensive guardianship service
This option is perfect for parents requiring full guardianship care and support for their child. This service includes termly meetings, regular school contact, assistance with form filling, host family accommodation during holidays and transportation arrangements. This is our most popular option and essential for most boarding school students to meet school guardianship requirements.
Suitable for families of children requiring an enhanced guardianship service
This option is perfect for parents requiring enhanced guardianship care and support for their child. It is a required option for day school students living with a host family and for younger students Y6 and below. This service includes termly meetings, frequent contact, assistance with form filling, host family accommodation and transportation arrangements.

Notes
- Fees and relevant charges are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
- Termly Guardianship includes the day before and the day after school term dates. Additional Guardianship fees are payable during Christmas, Easter, and Summer holidays.
- Expenses incurred by Cambridge Guardians or by the Host Family, for outings, transport etc. will be charged at cost and deducted from the deposit.
- We cannot be held responsible for any travel issues arising on the day and for which it would be unreasonable for us to foresee.
