MAGIC

Last week Heather attended the annual two day MAGIC conference keeping us up to date with all things to do with UK Guardianship. AEGIS (The Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) and the BSA (The Boarding Schools' Association) have recently entered a partnership to work together in the best interests of our International students.

There were some very interesting presentations and workshops highlighting the importance of reliable guardianship and the increasing realisation across the boarding school sector that AEGIS accredited guardians provide the security that parents are looking for.

With increasing numbers of international students and greater expectations from UKVI it was clear that the minimum standards introduced by AEGIS are there to protect international students while they are studying in the UK.

Other workshops discussed topics as diverse as personal wellbeing and marketing strategies. It was extremely useful to discuss challenges faced by Guardianship organisations and to meet other Guardianship Organisations. By keeping informed of the latest requirements and thinking we can ensure Cambridge Guardians continues to provide the best care for our international students while they study in the UK.
